Chelsea 2–0 Fulham

Chelsea kicked off the weekend with a convincing 2–0 victory over Fulham. Goals from João Pedro and Enzo Fernández sealed the win, continuing the Blues’ strong start under head coach Enzo Maresca. With quality spread across the squad and a renewed sense of confidence, Chelsea look like genuine contenders in the title race this season.

Brighton 2–0 Manchester City

Over at the Amex, Manchester City’s struggles deepened as Pep Guardiola’s men fell to Brighton. After winning their opening game, City have now slumped to back-to-back defeats. Questions are being asked about Guardiola’s tactics, his summer signings, and whether his side has lost the cutting edge that once made them untouchable. Some frustrated fans are even calling for his exit—a sign of how far City’s standards have dropped since finishing third last season. For Brighton, however, it was a historic first win of the season.

Manchester United 3–2 Burnley

At Old Trafford, Manchester United scraped past Burnley in dramatic fashion. Despite dominating early, United were pegged back twice and needed a last-minute Bruno Fernandes penalty to secure a 3–2 win. New manager Rúben Amorim is under increasing scrutiny, as his philosophy hasn’t fully clicked with the squad. United may have picked up three points, but the performance left more questions than answers.

Everton Impress, Tottenham Stumble

Elsewhere, Everton continued their strong start with a thrilling 3–2 win at Wolves. David Moyes has worked wonders with this side, and the Toffees look like a team ready to punch above their weight.
Tottenham, meanwhile, suffered a shock 1–0 defeat at home to Bournemouth, just days after beating Manchester City. Key players including Moame Curis and Brennan Johnson failed to deliver, leaving manager Thomas Frank with plenty to think about.

Serie A: Napoli, Milan, and Juve Keep the Pressure On

Defending champions Napoli needed a stoppage-time goal from André-Frank Zambo Anguissa to edge Cagliari 1–0 in Naples. Antonio Conte’s men looked sluggish and were given a stern warning that retaining the Scudetto won’t be easy.

Elsewhere, AC Milan returned to form with a 2–0 win at Lecce, thanks to goals from former Chelsea players Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Atalanta were held to a 1–1 draw by Salernitana, while Juventus continue their steady push to reclaim the crown.

La Liga: Madrid Survive, Barcelona Await

Real Madrid came from behind to beat Mallorca 2–1, with Vinícius Jr. on target. Despite the win, defensive frailties remain a concern for new coach Xabi Alonso, whose philosophy is still bedding in. Madrid may be grinding out results, but they look far from convincing at both ends of the pitch.

Meanwhile, all eyes turn to Barcelona’s clash with Rayo Vallecano. Barça will be hoping to maintain momentum and keep pace at the top.

Bundesliga: Bayern and Dortmund On Track

In Germany, Borussia Dortmund thrashed Union Berlin 3–0 with Sébastien Haller grabbing a brace. Defending champions Bayern Munich edged a thrilling 3–2 win, holding on despite a late scare. Both remain on six points alongside Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Köln, setting up what could be another competitive Bundesliga season.
