Accra Great Olympics striker Frederick Akatuk ended the Ghana Division One League season on a strong note after overcoming injury setbacks that ruled him out during the first round of the campaign.

The prolific forward suffered an injury just days after joining the Accra-based club, delaying his debut and forcing him to miss the opening part of the season. However, he returned in the second round and quickly made his impact felt with crucial goals and impressive performances.
The former Ghana Black Starlets attacker registered eight goals and two assists in just seventeen matches, emerging as one of Olympics’ standout performers in the latter stages of the season.
Akatuk, who previously featured for Accra Lions and Legon Cities FC in the Ghana Premier League, joined Accra Great Olympics on a short-term deal and wasted no time proving his quality.
The pacy striker opened his account against Inter Allies FC on matchday 16 before scoring again against Na God FC on matchday 18. He later grabbed a brace against West African Football Academy on matchday 22 and added another goal against Golden Kicks on matchday 26.
Akatuk continued his fine form with a goal against Okwehu on matchday 28 before ending the season in spectacular fashion with a brace against Home Stars FC.
His outstanding performances have reportedly attracted interest from several Ghana Premier League clubs following the expiration of his contract with Great Olympics.
